Funding Notice from Disabled Young Children’s Fund

Do you need some funding to help disabled children and young people to join your group?

If so, the Disabled Young Children’s Fund could be the answer!

Disabled children and young people tell us they want to be able to do the same things as other youngsters. They want to be able to enjoy the same play, sporting activities, clubs, leisure and social activities that other young people access.

Telford and Wrekin CVS is co-ordinating the Disabled Young Children’s Fund on behalf of Ican2 on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council.

Mick Lloyd, Director of CVS says, “This is your opportunity to apply. The scheme gives grants of up to £2,000 to community groups working in the Telford and Wrekin local authority area.”
“This might include specific support to enable children to access a group or a particular activity, or it could include training for workers and volunteers. Other examples might include specialised equipment, transport or more support.”

Sound interesting? Applications can be made at any time but the scheme will be closing soon! Visit the Telford & Wrekin CVS website to find out more – or telephone the office on 01952 567800.
